ST. LOUIS -- The Cardinals' crowded outfield just got more crowded.

On Monday, the Cardinals announced outfielder Stephen Piscotty — called up to be the team's 26th man for Sunday's game in Williamsport, Pa. — will stick around with first baseman Luke Voit heading to Memphis.

Both the Cardinals and Pirates were allowed to bring a 26th man onto the roster for Sunday's Little League Classic in Williamsport. The Cardinals reportedly brought both Piscotty and Double-A outfielder Magneurris Sierra into town but ultimately decided to activate Piscotty.

The 26-year-old started Sunday's game and went 2-for-4. Piscotty went 10-for-32 in eight games with the Redbirds. It's unclear exactly how much playing time Piscotty could see, as outfielders Tommy Pham, Dexter Fowler and Randal Grichuk have been seeing the majority of starts in the outfield with Jose Martinez holding his own in a fill-in role.

Voit should see more playing time in his return to the minors. The 26-year-old was mostly relegated to a pinch-hitting role once everyday first baseman Matt Carpenter seemingly got back on track. Voit has posted a respectable .253 average with a .783 OPS in 43 games with the Cardinals this season.
