ST. LOUIS -- For as long as he has been alive, rapper and two-time Grammy Award winner Nelly has been a St. Louis Cardinals fan. So it was no surprise when he appeared on the FOX Sports Midwest Cardinals pregame show to talk about his upcoming bobblehead night on Wednesday evening at Busch Stadium.

The interview was going about as normal as a baseball pregame show involving a rapper could be until host Jim Hayes welcomed "an older member of the Cardinals organization" to ask a few questions of the unofficial mayor of St. Louis.

First there was Uncle Drew -- NBA superstar Kyrie Irving's older, wiser alter ego. Now how about Uncle Joe?

Cardinals pitcher Joe Kelly played the part perfectly, not once breaking character throughout the process. After being told who the elderly culprit was, Nelly replied, "I don’t think he was playing."

It was not the first time Joe Kelly has been caught having fun at the old ballyard. Earlier this season he was spotted dancing in the outfield -- moves he credits his mom with giving him when she made him take salsa lessons as a kid.

Or how about that time he decided to interrupt an interview with Shelby Miller?

One thing is certain: There is never a dull moment when Joe Kelly is around.
