Calvin Johnson questionable against Bills Sunday

Receiver Calvin Johnson is listed as questionable for the second straight week on the Detroit Lions' injury report for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills at Ford Field.

Like last week, Johnson missed Wednesday and Thursday practices because of an ankle injury before returning to the field Friday on a limited basis. Johnson played in last Sunday's game, but he wasn't himself, catching only two passes for 12 yards.

Coach Jim Caldwell indicated he hasn't ruled out possibly resting Johnson for a game to help him get healthier. A final decision isn't expected to be announced until Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, running backs Joique Bell (concussion) and Theo Riddick (hamstring) have been ruled out, which means Southfield (Mich.) native George Winn, who was promoted from the practice squad, likely will play a role on both offense and special teams.

Right tackle LaAdrian Waddle, who hasn't played since early in the opening game because of a calf injury, is expected to be available and probably return to the starting lineup on the offensive line.

Safety Don Carey (hamstring), who has missed three of the first four games, is also listed as probable, along with defensive tackle Nick Fairley (knee), receiver Golden Tate (hamstring) and defensive end Devin Taylor (knee).

Cornerback Cassius Vaughn (ankle) has returned to practice, but he's still considered doubtful and could miss his third straight game.

The Bills will be without offensive guard Chris Williams (back). Defensive tackle Kyle Williams (knee) and linebacker Nigel Bradham (knee) are both doubtful.
