ATHLETICS 12, GIANTS 5
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Yoenis Cespedes hit a long home run in the first inning as the spring struggles continued for Tim Lincecum, and the Oakland Athletics beat the San Francisco Giants 12-5 Saturday.
In Lincecum's fourth start, the two-time NL Cy Young winner gave up five earned runs and six hits while throwing 80 pitches in three-plus innings.
Lincecum walked three and struck out five, raising his spring ERA to 10.97.
Brandon Belt hit his seventh home run this spring for the Giants.
Middle infielder Eric Sogard, making a bid for an Opening Day roster spot, had three hits for the A's, including a home run. He is 21 for 39 (.538).
RANGERS 6, REDS 2
GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) -- Yu Darvish gave up homers to Joey Votto and Todd Frazier but showed no problems with a stiff neck that forced him to be scratched from his previous start, and the Texas Rangers went on to beat the Cincinnati Reds 6-2 on Saturday.
Darvish gave up three hits in five innings, including the two homers. He had to miss his scheduled start last Monday.
Votto's homer was his third of spring training. He didn't hit one last season after returning from a knee injury that cost him 48 games.
Elvis Andrus hit a double and a two-run homer for Texas, and Mitch Moreland homered off Mat Latos. The right-hander left the game as a precaution in the sixth after Geovany Soto's liner deflected off his leg.
DODGERS 10, WHITE SOX 4
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Hyun-Jin Ryu allowed one hit over seven innings and Andre Ethier hit a three run-double, leading the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 10-4 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Saturday night.
Ryu struggled with his command in the first. He walked Alejandro De Aza, who advanced to third on infield outs before scoring on wild pitch. In the second, the South Korean left-hander allowed a double to Tyler Flowers, who scored on a sacrifice fly.
Ryu, who had a single in the third, retired the last eleven batters he faced and 17 of the last 18.
Matt Kemp drove in two runs in the fifth with a double off Jake Peavy, who allowed four runs on seven hits in five innings.
Carl Crawford played three innings in left in his first appearance in the field this spring after dealing with a nerve irritation in his surgically repaired left elbow.
ANGELS 5, BREWERS 1
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Garrett Richards threw 6 1/3 innings in the longest outing by an Angels pitcher this spring, leading Los Angeles' split squad over the Milwaukee Brewers 5-1 Saturday.
Richards allowed one run and three hits in his fourth spring appearance and second start. He struck out five.
Richards went 4-3 with the Angels with a 4.69 ERA in 2012 in 30 games, including nine starts.
Brewers starter Marco Estrada worked five innings and allowed two hits and two earned runs.
Mike Trout singled in the first and later scored on a passed ball.
ROYALS 11, DIAMONDBACKS 10
SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) -- Alex Gordon, Billy Butler and Elliot Johnson homered to power the Kansas City Royals to an 11-10 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday.
Gordon homered on Randall Delgado's third pitch, while Butler homered two batters later. Johnson hit a two-run homer in the fifth, doubled and drove in three runs.
Paul Goldschmidt drove in four Diamondback runs, going 3 for 3 with two doubles and a sacrifice fly. Miguel Montero hit a two-run homer in the Diamondbacks' five-run seventh, while Alfredo Marte homered in the eighth to tie the score.
Jarrod Dyson singled in the ninth, stole second, moved to third on a ground out and scored on George Kottaras' two-out single. Kottaras went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and two walks.
Royals starter Ervin Santana allowed four runs, two unearned, on six hits and a walk over six innings. Delgado permitted six runs on nine hits, including three home runs, and four walks in five innings.
ROCKIES 10, PADRES 4
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Todd Helton, Wilin Rosario and Josh Rutledge all homered off San Diego starter Freddy Garcia as the Colorado Rockies beat the Padres 10-4 on Saturday night.
A non-roster invitee to camp, the 36-year-old Garcia allowed seven runs -- three earned -- in five innings. His spring ERA dropped to 8.71, but the outing likely did little to help him gain ground on Tyson Ross in the competition for the final spot in the Padres' rotation.
Garcia said he will not accept a minor league assignment.
Six home runs were hit in the first five innings and seven in the game as hitters took advantage of a brisk wind blowing straight out at Salt River Fields.
Gustavo Molina added a three-run shot for Colorado.
INDIANS 10, MARINERS 5
PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) -- Scott Kazmir gave up 13 hits over five innings while trying to earn a spot in the Cleveland rotation, but the Indians beat the Seattle Mariners 10-5.
Kazmir gave up five runs, struck out five and walked none.
Jason Giambi and Cord Phelps homered for Cleveland. Raul Ibanez homered and drove in three runs for the Mariners.
Seattle starter Blake Beavan allowed nine runs and 16 hits in 5 1/3 innings.
Mariners catcher Jesus Montero left in the second inning after being hit with a bat on a follow-through swing by Lindor. Montero had a bump on the right side of his forehead but no concussion.
Cleveland right fielder Matt Carson ran into the wall chasing a long fly in the fifth. He had a cut on his forehead and a neck strain.
CUBS 7, ANGELS 6
MESA, Ariz. (AP) -- Edwin Jackson pitched five uneven innings but also got two hits as the Chicago Cubs beat a split squad of Los Angeles Angels 7-6 Saturday.
Jackson allowed five runs and eight hits. He went 2 for 2 at the plate and drove in a run.
David DeJesus extended his spring hitting streak to 11 games for the Cubs. He got two hits, scored a run and drove in one. He is 17 for 33 (.515) during his hitting string.
Angels starter Joe Blanton allowed two runs in six-plus innings. He struck out five without a walk.
