Cactus League tour: Scottsdale Stadium
Seeing Scottsdale Stadium for the first time, it's no wonder the park draws thousands each game played. As the official home of the San Francisco Giants during spring training, the amenities are perfect for residents who want to take in a game or travelers coming into town to see their favorite team play. The remodel of the stadium has given it a nostalgic vibe, the perfect feel in Old Town Scottsdale.
On the day we visited, we caught up with a sun-soaked bachelorette party of die-hard Giants fans who were visiting from California, plus a large contingent of Bay Area fans who love the opportunity to view the world champs up close and personal.
There are several different seating options in the stadium, which can be great for die-hard fans or casual ones who don't want to break the bank. Individual bucket seats are located in the "Box" sections, bleachers are available along the third and first base lines, and lawn seating is in the outfields. Those in the front rows of the box seating are right on the field and could pretty much touch any player walking by. The most unique seating option here though is the Charro Lodge in right field. It offers covered seating and alcohol service for general admission, VIPs and corporate parties.
With bounce houses, alcohol service and baseball, Scottsdale Stadium is a favorite among children and adults alike.
