Bucks to open season on road for 29th straight year
For the 29th consecutive season, the Milwaukee Bucks will open up on the road.
The new-look Bucks will open the 2013-14 season at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks on Oct. 30. The two-game road trip to start the season continues in Boston before the Bucks host Toronto in the home opener on Nov. 2.
Fans won't have to wait long to see Monta Ellis' return to the BMO Harris Bradley Center, as the former Bucks shooting guard returns with Dallas on Nov. 9.
The Bucks will first face Brandon Jennings on the road, as Milwaukee visits the Palace at Auburn Hills on Nov. 25. Jennings makes his first trip back to Milwaukee on Dec. 4 and also returns with the Pistons on Jan. 22.
The defending champion Miami Heat make just one trip to Milwaukee this season (March 29), while San Antonio (Dec. 11), Oklahoma City (Nov. 16) and the Los Angeles Lakers (March 27) also only come to town once.
Milwaukee has 21 back-to-back games this season with the first one coming Nov. 1 and Nov. 2. The Bucks will play Atlanta, Brooklyn, Miami and Philadelphia three times each and play every other Eastern Conference team four times. Milwaukee plays one home game and one road game with each Western Conference team.
The longest home stand of the season begins Feb. 8 and is six games, while the Bucks have five road trips of three games or more. Milwaukee has a stretch in March where it plays seven of eight games on the road.
The Bucks will play 19 weekend home games, with 15 coming on Saturday night.
Milwaukee will be nationally broadcast on NBA TV four times during the season, but appears just once on ESPN, ABC or TNT. The Bucks' last game of the season -- a home game against Atlanta on April 16 -- is set to be broadcast on ESPN.
The Bucks' schedule on FOX Sports Wisconsin will be announced soon.
