MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday released their 2012-13 schedule, which will get underway in Boston on Nov. 2 and open at the Bradley Center with a Nov. 3 matchup against Cleveland.
Along with seven other teams in the NBA next season, the Bucks will play in 22 back-to-back games, the most in the league, and on four occasions, they'll play on four of five nights — a schedule that, at times, slightly resembles their 2011-12 lockout-shortened slate.
However, with no back-to-back-to-back games, as there were in that shortened lockout season, the Bucks' 82-game slate is arguably much more manageable than last year's 66-game schedule.
Some games sure to interest Bucks fans include two matchups against the NBA champion Miami Heat — Dec. 29 and March 15 — a March 30 meeting with last year's runner-ups, the Oklahoma City Thunder, and two home matchups against last year's Central Division champion Chicago Bulls on Nov. 24 and Jan. 30. Former Bucks center Andrew Bogut, who was traded to Golden State last season for Monta Ellis and Ekpe Udoh, will make his return to the Bradley Center on Jan. 26 in another interesting matchup.
The schedule also contains just two four-game road trips — one in January and the other in April — and one four-game homestand between March 28 and April 3.
After playing six of their final eight games on the road, the Bucks will end the season in Oklahoma City against the Thunder on April 17.
