Bucks squander fast start, fall to Pistons 94-80
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 20 points, Andre Drummond added 15 points and 16 rebounds, and the Detroit Pistons beat the Milwaukee Bucks 94-80 on Thursday night in a preseason game.
Former Pistons Khris Middleton (13 points) and Brandon Knight (11 points, seven assists) led Milwaukee, which turned the ball over 23 times for 26 Detroit points.
Caldwell-Pope had 18 points off the bench in Detroit's overtime win over Chicago on Tuesday, while Drummond added 13, but both players had their defensive performances criticized by Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy.
Against the Bucks, Caldwell-Pope moved into the starting lineup when Jodie Meeks was sidelined by back spasms, while Drummond was a reserve as Van Gundy experiments with his post rotation of Drummond, Josh Smith and Greg Monroe.
