Bucks shorthanded against Kings
The Milwaukee Bucks will be without three key players when they conclude their road trip in Sacramento on Sunday night.
Bucks coach Jim Boylan told reporters prior to facing the Kings that power forward Ersan Ilysaova will miss his second straight game with a bone bruise in his left knee, center Larry Sanders will sit out with a hyperextended left knee and guard J.J. Redick is out with a sprained right ankle.
With two starters out, Boylan will start Ekpe Udoh at power forward and Samuel Dalembert at center, with Brandon Jennings, Monta Ellis and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute filling their usual starting roles.
Sanders -- the NBA's leader in blocked shots -- told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that he injured his knee while trying to block a shot in Saturday's victory over Golden State. Redick rolled his ankle on a three-point attempt late in the fourth quarter, but returned to the game.
Winning the second game of a back-to-back and completing the West Coast road trip at 2-1 will be more difficult without two important offensive cogs and their defensive ace.
Rookie John Henson, Drew Gooden and Gustavo Ayon will likely see more minutes with both starting frontcourt players out, while Ish Smith is the only other true guard off the bench. Mike Dunleavy and Marquis Daniels both could slide over and play guard, if needed.
