Milwaukee Bucks point guard Tyler Ennis underwent successful surgery Tuesday to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder, the team announced.
The surgery was performed at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York after consultation with Bucks orthopedist Dr. Michael Gordon and Dr. David Altcheck, the medical director of the New York Mets and a medical consultant for the NBA.
Acquired by the Bucks along with Miles Plumlee and Michael Carter-Williams in a three-team deal with Phoenix and Philadelphia on Feb. 19, Ennis averaged 4.0 points and 2.4 assists over 14.1 minutes in 25 games with Milwaukee.
Ennis did not miss any time due to injury this past season. No timetable was given for the 20-year-old's return to basketball activity. Ennis was expected to play for Team Canada in the FIBA Americas Championship and for the Bucks in the NBA's Summer League this offseason.
