Ohio State's big win at Michigan State on Saturday night did not come without a price. On Monday, head coach Urban Meyer revealed just how expensive that win was.

The Buckeyes' head coach confirmed Monday that his team will have to move forward without Dontre Wilson the remainder of this month. The versatile sophomore receiver was injured in the 49-37 upset of the Spartans in East Lansing — though Wilson still made his mark felt in the game after suffering the injury.

"Dontre broke his foot," Meyer said. "He actually caught a touchdown pass with a broken foot. Tells you what a tough guy [Wilson is] . . . didn't have a good game, couple balls on the ground.  He's out for a few weeks. I don't know the extent, get you that probably by Wednesday. Might have to put a pin in it."

Wilson is third on the team in catches (21) and receiving yards (300) while filling the role of primary H-back in Meyer's spread-option offense. He also has 112 yards on 18 carries and has handled all but six of the Buckeyes' 28 kickoff returns this season.

He caught two passes for 23 yards and a touchdown against the Spartans but also dropped another sure touchdown and lost a fumble on a kickoff.

His loss is softened by the continued emergence of redshirt freshman Jalin Marshall, who caught two passes for 33 yards and ran three times for 19 yards against Michigan State and has split time with Wilson at slot receiver and in the team's Wildcat package. Marshall also had a 26-yard punt return in East Lansing and leads the Buckeyes with an average of 14.6 yards in that category.

The Buckeyes return to action Saturday at Minnesota.
