The Browns are taking their annual "Family Night" on the road this year. They are also moving the event from the evening to the daytime.

"Family Night" will be held on the campus of the University of Akron, at InfoCision Stadium on Sat. Aug. 2 at 11:30 am. The Browns television partner, WKYC-TV3, announced the move on their Thursday evening newscast.

Previously, all Family Nights have been held at FirstEnergy Stadium. However, renovations of the stadium are being completed in time for the 2014 season.

Last year, 24,131 fans attended the event. InfoCision Stadium has a listed capacity of 27,881. There will be free admission to the event, but fans will need to register online with details upcoming.

One of the likely reasons the event will be held in the day is because the NFL's Hall of Fame induction in nearby Canton will be held at Fawcett Stadium later that day. Also, the PGA Bridgestone golf tournament held at Akron's Firestone golf course will be taking place.

The Browns will open their preseason schedule on Aug. 9 in Detroit against the Lions and will play their first home game at FirstEnergy Stadium on Aug. 23 against the Rams.
