Browns, Mingo agree to terms

BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns on Sunday signed linebacker Barkevious Mingo to a four-year contract, with a fifth-year club option, the team announced.
The organization now has all of its 2013 draft selections under contract. 


Mingo, a 6-4, 240-pound rookie from Louisiana State, was the sixth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. He  appeared in 40 LSU games from 2010-12, with 15 starts, and recorded 119 career tackles, 15 sacks, 11 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
In his final collegiate season, as a junior, he appeared in all 13 games with 10 starts, and totaled 38 tackles, 4.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. In 2011, he registered 46 tackles, one forced fumble and eight sacks, which tied for eighth on LSU’s all-time single-season list. A native West Monroe, La., he graduated from West Monroe High School.
