Adding an infielder with Major League experience, the Milwaukee Brewers announced Monday that they've signed Donnie Murphy to a minor league contract with an invite to Major League camp.
Murphy, 29, hit .216 with three home runs and 12 RBI in 52 games with the Marlins last season.
A versatile infielder, Murphy made the majority of his starts at third base (17 starts), but also made eight starts at second base and one at shortstop.
Murphy is a career .205 hitter in 244 games with Kansas City, Oakland and Miami.
