Brewers minor-league stars of the week: June 22
Each week FOXSportsWisconsin.com identifies the top pitcher and position player from the Milwaukee Brewers' top four main affiliates: Triple-A Colorado Springs, Double-A Biloxi, High-A Brevard County and Low-A Wisconsin. Here's a look at all eight players who made the list for the week of June 15-21.
TRIPLE-A COLORADO SPRINGS (3-4)
Player of the Week: OF Logan Schafer
Week stats: .458 (11 for 24), 2 2B in seven games
Recent highlights: Schafer has struggled offensively for most of this season, but the 28-year-old is in the midst of a hot streak at the plate. By collecting 11 hits in his last seven games, Schafer has raised his batting average from .224 to .262. He had multi-hit efforts in Colorado Springs' first four games this past week, including a three-hit game against Oklahoma City on Wednesday. When the Brewers were in need of a fourth outfielder in early June, Shane Peterson got the call to the big leagues over Schafer.
Pitcher of the Week: RHP Tyler Thornburg
Week stats: 6 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 K
Recent highlights: Like Schafer, Thornburg has not performed well since being sent to Triple-A. The right-hander bounced back from two consecutive rough starts to limit New Orleans to just two runs on six hits over six innings on Friday. Thornburg is 1-4 with a 5.11 ERA in 11 starts for the Sky Sox and has lasted more than six innings in just two of his outings.

Player of the Week: 3B Taylor Green

Recent highlights: It has been a long road for Green since he appeared in 58 games with the Brewers in 2012. He missed all of 2013 due to a hip injury and spent 2014 between Double-A and Triple-A. Green is hitting just .241 with four home runs and 29 RBI for Biloxi this season, but the 28-year-old had a strong week in which he collected three multi-hit games.
