Brewers' Braun returns to lineup

MILWAUKEE — One day after two sets of blisters on his left hand kept him out of the lineup for Milwaukee's series opener with Houston, Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun will return to the lineup for Tuesday's game.

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said on Monday that the issue wasn't expected to be a multi-game problem, and Braun's return to the lineup suggests that the blisters are a non-issue at this point.

Braun has dealt with several nagging injuries this season though, as injuries to his groin and Achilles have held him out of single games here and there throughout the season. In each situation, however, Braun gave the impression that he wouldn't be missing any time to fully rectify the problems.

In 95 games this season, Braun has been the Brewers most consistent and dominant hitter, batting .309 with an NL-leading 28 home runs and 70 RBI.
