Braxton Miller is about to make a transition that will change his football career forever. We’ve seen other quarterbacks make the change, but Miller seems to be making it based on what’s best for the Ohio State Buckeyes… not what’s best for his NFL career.

Miller will be playing wide receiver for Urban Meyer this upcoming season, which will allow him to utilize his speed and agility. But let’s not forget that Miller was a Heisman Trophy caliber quarterback. There was still a really good chance that Miller would be drafted as a quarterback.

Now, Miller being plucked by an NFL team as a quarterback doesn’t seem so likely. We’ve seen a few college quarterbacks switch routes and become NFL wide receivers.

But Miller is making the change before heading to the next level, and he turned to an NFL veteran for a little advice: Keyshawn Johnson.

Even though Johnson was a USC Trojan, there’s always a chance to learn from a veteran. You have to hand it to Miller for realizing an opportunity and capitalizing on it. Afterall, Johnson is a former No. 1 overall draft pick.

Maybe the transition will go better than expected.
