Braves' Walden put on DL with hamstring strain; Thomas promoted

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Braves have placed right-hander Jordan Walden on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring and recalled left-hander Ian Thomas from Triple-A Gwinnett.
The move with Walden is retroactive to May 5.
Walden has one save and a 2.92 ERA in 14 games as one of the team's top setup relievers.

Thomas was 1-1 with a 4.26 ERA in 10 games before he was sent to Gwinnett on Sunday with instructions to work on his slider. Thomas pitched three scoreless innings with five strikeouts in his only appearance with Gwinnett.
