Braves Getting Their Swagger Back

Two years ago, June 6, 2008 to be exact, the Philadelphia Phillies came to Atlanta for a weekend series at Turner Field. They had a 3.5 game lead on the Braves, who were 32-29 going into the series.


The Braves believed the series was a chance to make up ground on the Phillies. Even though it was still early in the season, it was a big series.

Atlanta had a 2-1 lead in the ninth inning of the series opener. They got the first two batters out, and then Philadelphia mounted a rally. Blaine Boyer walked Phillies
