Brandy's Girl wins Crank It Up Stakes at Monmouth Park

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) Brandy's Girl took the lead around the far turn and drew off in the stretch to win the $60,000 Crank It Up Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday, beating Tizanillusion by 2 1/2 lengths.
The Eddie Broome-trained filly ran the roughly 5 1/2 furlongs over firm turf course in 1:03.14 in giving jockey Paco Lopez his fourth winner on the card. Brandy's Girl paid $3.20, $2.40 and $2.20 in winning for the fourth time in seven career starts.
Tizanillusion returned $8.40 and $4.80. World Peace was a half-length back in third and paid $3.60.
Lopez also won with Tybalt's Queen ($3.40) in the third race, Run for Logistics ($4.60) in the fifth race and Salt Mine ($7.40) in the seventh race.
