Boy throws souvenir foul ball onto field, horrifying fans
In the first inning of Monday's Mariners-Astros game in Seattle, a ball girl scooped up a foul ball hit by Robinson Cano along the right field line and then handed it to a young boy who, everyone thought, would revel in delight over the souvenir. That's not what happened.
The kid took the ball and as soon as the ball girl turned away, he chucked it back onto the field, causing an outburst of laughter in the section plus some shock and horror. The two adults sitting next to the boy covered their faces.

Though some boys in the neighboring section invited the ball girl to toss it their way instead, she returned it to the same boy who, it appears, learned the lesson: don't chuck a souvenir ball onto the field unless it represents a home run off the bat of an opponent.
