Bowers' loss rocks Tigertown

One of the players expected to have a breakout season in 2010 for the Clemson football team is Da'Quan Bowers, a junior defensive end who was ranked as the No. 1 defensive end in the country by Scout.com in the 2008 recruiting class.

However if it's going to happen, it will happen as Bowers grieves from this loss of his father, Dennis Bowers.

The elder Bowers passed away this weekend after collapsing and spending the night in the hospital.

"He (Da'Quan) actually got to spend the whole night in the hospital with him, just the two of them," Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said Monday morning after the first practice of two-a-days.  "They just talked all night.
