Boston Marathon fan survives fall

A 22-year-old man watching the Boston Marathon from the roof of an apartment building has been hospitalized after he crashed through a skylight and plunged five stories.

The Babson College undergraduate suffered serious injuries but was conscious after the fall Monday in the atrium of a Brookline building at 1834 Beacon St.

Brookline police spokesman Lt. Philip Harrington said the man was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment.
