According to the Charlotte Bobcats, Steve Clifford was hospitalized on Thursday night and would subsequently undergo tests on Friday, a precautionary move after the head coach hadn't been feeling well.
Clifford, in his first season with the Bobcats after paying his assistant dues for 12 NBA years (Knicks, Rockets, Magic, Lakers), had Charlotte off to a solid 3-2 start after five games.
At this time, Clifford's status for the Bobcats' Friday home date with the Knicks has yet to be determined.
