BMX rider TJ Lavin out of coma

According to a report on the Las Vegas Review-Journal website, BMX rider TJ Lavin is out of a medically-induced coma and is communicating with hospital personnel.
Lavin, , one of the sport's top stars and host of MTV’s "The Challenge," had been placed in the coma due to bleeding and swelling in his brain after he was severely injured in a crash.
Lavin lost control of his bike while attempting a stunt Thursday at the Dew Tour Championships in Las Vegas and was knocked unconscious. He was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Lavin has hosted 10 seasons of MTV’s "Real World/Road Rules Challenge" and earned gold medals in the X Games in 1997 and 1999.
