The NHL announced Monday that Blues defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk has been named the Third Star for the week ending Nov. 22. In addition, the NHL named San Jose goaltender Martin Jones First Star and Vancouver forward Daniel Sedin Second Star.

Shattenkirk registered points in all four Blues games last week, including two assists on Monday against Winnipeg, a goal on Tuesday against Columbus and Thursday against Buffalo, and two assists on Saturday against Detroit. The New Rochelle, New York, native's six points for the week led all defensemen and shared third-most amongst all skaters.

Overall, Shattenkirk has points in five consecutive games (two goals, five assists), marking the longest streak by a Blues defenseman this season.  He is one of just three defensemen with an active point streak of at least five games.
