Middle Tennessee basketball standout and Blue Raider Hall of Famer Tim Sisneros passed away at the age of 59 on Friday, June 28, 2013.

From Kokomo, Ind., the media dubbed Sisneros "Kokomo Kruncher" for his tenacious rebounding and physical defense. A four-year starter and one of the premiere centers to ever play in the OVC, Sisneros was the starting center and anchor for the 1974-75 OVC champions, the first OVC men's basketball championship in Middle Tennessee history.

As a senior, he averaged 22.1 points per game and was voted the OVC's MVP, scoring 29 points and 37 points respectively in games against Western Kentucky and Marshall. A member of MT's 1,000 Point Club, Sisneros ranked seventh among all-time scoring leaders, compiling a four-year field goal average of 52.9 percent.

A celebration of Sisnero's life will be held on Monday July 8th from 4 to 9 p.m. (ET) at the Celebrations Banquet Hall located on 3437 West Sycamore Street in Kokomo, Ind. In lieu of flowers, doations can be made to Hear Indiana in Sisnero's memory. To donate, visit www.hearindiana.org/donate. For more information or to sign the guest book, please click here.
