COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Blue Jackets signed former University of Michigan goaltender Shawn Hunwick on Wednesday.
Goaltender Steve Mason suffered an upper body injury during the morning skate and is listed as day to day, forcing the Hunwick transaction.
Hunwick, 22, just completed his senior season at Michigan, where he posted a 24-12-3 record with a 2.00 goals-against average.
