Blue Jackets announce 2013 preseason schedule
COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets will play an eight-game preseason schedule, including four home games at Nationwide Arena, prior to their 13th National Hockey League season, the club announced today. Columbus will play one home and one road game against a pair of its new division rivals – the Pittsburgh Penguins and Carolina Hurricanes – as well as the Buffalo Sabres and Minnesota Wild. The Blue Jackets open preseason play by hosting the Penguins at Nationwide Arena on Sunday, September 15 at 6 p.m. ET. That contest is the first of four home preseason games at Nationwide Arena. The Jackets will also host the Sabres on Tuesday, September 17; Wild on Monday, September 23; and Hurricanes on Thursday, September 26. The complete preseason schedule is below:
