COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS ADD FORWARD NICK DRAZENOVIC TO THE ROSTER ON EMERGENCY RECALL FROM THE AHL’S SPRINGFIELD FALCONS
COLUMBUS, OHIO --- The Columbus Blue Jackets today announced that center Nick Drazenovic has been added to the roster on emergency recall from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.
Drazenovic, 26, has recorded three shots on goal, four hits and 16 faceoff wins in four games with Blue Jackets and 16 goals, 30 assists, 46 points and a +10 plus/minus rating in 47 games with the Falcons this season. He ranks second on Springfield in assists, points and power play goals (nine) and is tied for fourth in goals. In 41 appearances with Springfield last season, Drazenovic recorded 13-28-41 and 16 penalty minutes.
A native of Prince George, British Columbia, Drazenovic (pronounced drah-ZEHN-oh-vihk) was signed by the Blue Jackets as a free agent on July 1, 2011 after spending four seasons in the Blues organization. The 6-1, 192-pound center was St. Louis’ sixth pick, 171st overall, in the 2005 NHL Draft and skated in three games with the Blues (0-0-0) and 278 games with their AHL affiliate in Peoria (70-90-160) from 2007-11.
