ST. LOUIS -- Cady Lalanne scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead UMass to its first win at Saint Louis' Chaifetz Arena in five tries Saturday with a 60-56 victory in an Atlantic 10 showdown.
The Minutemen used a 7-0 run early in the second half to take the lead for good.
Mike Crawford knocked down a jumper and converted two free throws to pull the Billikens within two, 58-56 with just under a minute to play. But Austin Gillmann missed a 3-point attempt for the lead with :03 left and Derrick Gordon got to the basket for a layup as time expired to create the final margin.
UMass (12-9, 5-3) snapped a two-game losing streak to Saint Louis (9-12, 1-7 A-10), and the Billikens now have lost four straight.
Crawford finished with 15 points, but was the lone Saint Louis player to reach double figure scoring.
