Saint Louis (16-5, 5-2 A-10) takes its four-game winning streak to the road Wednesday when it faces Fordham in the Bronx, N.Y. Game time at historic Rose Hill Gym is scheduled for 7 p.m. (CT).
• Rob Loe scored a game-high 17 points to lead four SLU players in double figures, and the Billikens registered their largest victory margin of the season - and second largest ever in an Atlantic 10 Conference game - in an 81-52 thrashing of Dayton last Saturday at Chaifetz Arena.
• In addition to recording a season high for points, Saint Louis limited Dayton to its season scoring low. Also, SLU connected on 50.9 percent (29-of-57) from the floor - its best mark in an A-10 game this year - giving the Billikens consecutive 50-percent shooting performances for the first time this season. The Bills shot 50 percent against Butler.
• Loe's 5-of-9 shooting effort included a 3-of-6 performance from beyond the arc, and he was 4-of-5 from the foul line. His six rebounds helped the Billikens edge the Flyers 31-29 on the glass.
• Dwayne Evans netted 15 points (6-of-9 FG, 3-of-3 FT) and hauled in a game-high seven rebounds. Kwamain Mitchell was 3-of-5 from long range in his 12-point tally, and Jordair Jett (4-of-6 FG, 3-of-3 FT) scored 11 points while adding a game-high six assists and five rebounds.
• After forcing Butler into 23 turnovers on Thursday, Saint Louis pressured Dayton into 21 miscues and took full advantage. The Billikens, who committed just 12 giveaways, outscored the Flyers 30-9 in points off turnovers.
• Eleven of UD's 21 turnovers were the result of Saint Louis steals, giving the Billikens a double-digit theft total for a fifth consecutive outing.
• Saint Louis has won four in a row, the longest active streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
• SLU is receiving votes in the AP Top 25 (eight, 38th) and USA Today Coaches Poll (one, 43rd). The Billikens are also RV in the ESPN.com Power Rankings (19, 31st).
• The Bills lead the A-10 in scoring defense, yielding 57.6 ppg. In A-10 games, the Billikens lead the conference with 10.7 steals per game. SLU has registered double-digit steals in each of its last five game.
• Saint Louis features a balanced scoring attack, with seven players averaging 6.1 points or more per game. Three Billikens average double figures in scoring.
• In A-10 games only, SLU is second in scoring offense (71.4 points per game) and scoring defense (62.7 points allowed per game). The Bills lead the league in scoring margin (+8.7).
• Junior forward Dwayne Evans leads the team in scoring (11.1 ppg) and rebounding (6.5 rpg). He is 12th in the A-10 in rpg, which includes a 6.8 rpg mark in A-10 games.
• Senior forward Cody Ellis averages 10.8 ppg and is second on the team in rebounding. He is third in the A-10 in free-throw percentage (.882).
• Junior guard Mike McCall Jr. is third on the squad with 10.4 ppg. He tops the team and is second in the A-10 in 3-point field goal percentage (.453, 34-75).
• In A-10 games, senior guard Kwamain Mitchell averages 10.3 ppg and leads the team with 11 3-pointers and 22 steals.
• Junior guard Jordair Jett led all scorers with 19 points in the Bills' win last week against No. 9 Butler. He is fifth on the team in scoring (9.3 ppg) and leads the team in assists and steals.
• Junior forward Rob Loe is second on the squad in scoring in A-10 games, averaging 11.3 ppg. He also pulls down 5.0 rpg in conference play, which is second on the team.
• SLU shoots 44.9 percent (485-1079) from the floor, 35.7 percent (133-373) from 3-point range and 71.4 percent (320-448) from the line.
• Saint Louis travels straight from New York to Richmond, Va., where it will face the Richmond Spiders Saturday, Feb. 9. Game time at the Robins Center is 5 p.m. (CT).
• Fordham University has lost two in a row and five of its last six and enters Wednesday's game 6-16 overall, 2-5 in A-10 play.
• The Rams' two conference victories have come against Duquesne and Rhode Island, both at home.
• Branden Frazier leads the team with 16.0 ppg. He has dished out a team-leading 113 assists and ties for team-high honors with 21 steals. He needs 11 points to reach 1,000 for his career. Chris Gaston, who has missed the last four games due to injury, averages 8.1 rpg.
• Bryan Smith averaged 8.7 ppg and is tied with Frazier for the team lead with 38 3-pointers.
• Mandell Thomas is the reigning A-10 Rookie of the Week after averaging 16.5 ppg and 7.5 rpg against Saint Joseph's and VCU.
• Head coach Tom Pecora is in his third season at Fordham with a 24-56 record. He is 178-182 in 12 years overall.
• Fordham's home court, the Rose Hill Gymnasium, is the oldest gym still being used by an NCAA Division I basketball team. The Rose Hill Gym has been named as one of the Top Ten arenas by USA Today and was featured in the 2011-12 ESPN The Magazine College Basketball issue as one of four Cathedrals of College Basketball.
Saint Louis leads the all-time series 7-1 and has won the last five contests.
