Kansas Jayhawks head basketball coach Bill Self canceled the team's workout Tuesday afternoon so he and his players could tune in for the USA-Belgium round of 16 match.
“We moved it to tomorrow and yesterday to make sure our guys were free today. They’ll all be watching" Self told Kansas City's 610 Sports Radio's Fescoe in the Morning on Tuesday. “How can you not get hooked on this stuff?” Self said of World Cup action. “I’m certainly jacked about today.”
Indeed, Tuesday has become a de facto national holiday.
