I've tasted perfection too many times this season. I've now come to expect it. Last week's 5-0 run was the third perfect week of 2014. Let's go for another. I'll be testing it with an upset special.

Baylor 51, West Virginia 41: The Bears were fortunate not to draw a primetime road visit at a West Virginia team good enough to beat them. The Bears' defense did enough to earn a win last week, namely getting big stops when they need them most. Baylor's new road tradition is stumbling out of the starting block on offense, so the Bears may have to rally from an early deficit. Bryce Petty plays well, but the running game wins this one for BU, who clears a major hurdle on its hopeful route to the playoff.
Kansas State 24, Oklahoma 20: Bill Snyder does it again. Kansas State already proved it could stuffed Auburn, whose run game is more complex and better than Oklahoma's. The Sooners haven't done enough to make defenses respect their vertical passing game and Kansas State takes advantage. This should be one of the Big 12's most physical games, but K-State pulls the win by leaning on its quarterback run game in the second half and capitalizing on big play opportunities. Trend watch: The visiting team has won three consecutive games in this series.
Texas Tech 37, Kansas 27: This game has upset alert written all over it, but I'm trusting that Tech has enough offensive weapons to outlast the Jayhawks. Don't forget: KU took Tech into overtime in Lubbock two years ago and the Jayhawks tasted a near-upset last week at home against Oklahoma State. Michael Cummings continues to play well, but Jakeem Grant, Bradley Marquez and Davis Webb are too much. Tech snaps its four-game losing streak.
TCU 41, Oklahoma State 20: The Cowboys could not ask for a worse matchup. Gary Patterson's coverages have confused quarterbacks with lots more experience than Daxx Garman, and the Kevin White/Ranthony Texada cornerback duo will be the best OSU has faced since Week 1 against Florida State. TCU stuffs an already trudging run game with Chucky Hunter and Davion Pierson and the defense gets a score for the third consecutive week. The inexperience along the offensive line and at quarterback dooms the Cowboys. Trevone Boykin's non-throwing wrist is injured, but his play proves it's not serious.
