Big 12 predictions: Week 15

Big 12 predictions: Week 15

Published Dec. 4, 2014 12:03 a.m. ET

Three consecutive perfect weeks only means I'm aiming for a fourth in the season's final Saturday.

I have some bad news, friends: I'll be sitting out this Saturday to attend my brother's wedding in Arkansas, but I'll be back on Sunday to weigh in on the four teams who the committee selected for the playoff.

You should still tune into the final episode of Big 12 Live at 11 PM CT on Fox Sports Southwest, Midwest and other regional FOX affiliates.

As for my work on the website, you can follow it on Facebook or follow me on Twitter.

Let's get to the picks.

Last week: 4-0

Overall: 65-7

TCU 51, Iowa State 13: Iowa State athletic director Jamie Pollard's indications that Paul Rhoads won't be job hunting this offseason may pay off longterm, but I doubt they'll have a positive impact in Fort Worth on Saturday. The Frogs should be able to do whatever they want offensively, and if TCU's defense can keep Sam Richardson contained in the pocket, Iowa State will struggle to move the ball consistently.

Oklahoma 27, Oklahoma State 21: If this game were in Stillwater, I'd be tempted to take the Cowboys to spring the upset. Mason Rudolph and Samaje Perine have injected a lot of intrigue into what once looked like a sleepy game, and the latter helps the Sooners keep OSU out of a bowl game. Rudolph offers even more promise for the Oklahoma State faithful, but OSU will be left with the sting of a bowl-less season that's sealed in Norman.

Baylor 38, Kansas State 28: Bears fans, I'll be disappointed if you don't storm the field for the 34th time in the last two years after this game. You win a title on your home field, you should storm it. There was no shame in it last year and there was no shame when Oklahoma State did the same in 2011. If K-State can do to Baylor's running game what it did to Auburn's, there's a chance the Wildcats can spring the upset and steal a Big 12 title at McLane Stadium. K-State has given up just 30 plays longer than 20 yards this season. Only Ohio State has given up fewer. Baylor ends that trend and breaks enough big plays downfield to get the win. Is 10 points convincing enough for the committee to put the Bears ahead of TCU? We'll know Sunday.
