IRVING, Texas - The Big 12's annual revenue is continuing to grow.

The league's eight remaining founding members will earn about $23 million, which is approximately $1 million more than last year's total.

The conference distributed $212.3 million to its schools.

TCU and West Virginia, who joined the conference in July 2012, earned just under $14 million, per their agreement to join the conference.

The conference announced $220.1 million in annual revenue on Friday morning after three days of league meetings ended.

That number was $7.8 million more than expected, and that surplus is being put into a fund that can be used for legal fees and other unforeseen expenses. If it isn't used over the next year, it will be redistributed to schools. The conference put two teams in BCS games and had additional funds from basketball that produced the surplus.
