ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) Bettys Bambino won the $58,000 feature for older horses bred or sired in California by 4¼ lengths at Santa Anita on Friday.
Ridden by Mario Gutierrez, Bettys Bambino ran 6½ furlongs on the downhill turf course in 1:12.05 and paid $4, $2.80 and $2.40 as the even-money favorite in the field of six.
Luz Atticus returned $3 and $2.40, and Old Man Lake was another 1¼ lengths back in third and paid $3.80 to show.
The victory, worth $34,800, increased Bettys Bambino's career earnings to $68,400, with two wins in two starts.
