The long wait for Roddy Beaubois' return to the court could finally be coming to an end.
According to Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News, there's a chance that the 22-year-old guard will make his season debut on wednesday against the Kings. Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said the determining factor will be how Beaubois' injured right ankle responds over the three upcoming days off, but Beaubois said he's ready to go, with one exception.
"It's pretty good except if I'm (running) in a straight line and have to cut, it's kind of tough," Beaubois said.
"But it's getting better every day."
Regardless of whether he plays, things are clearly moving in the right direction for the electric guard. Beaubois is with the Mavericks in Houston and technically on the active roster.
When he plays, then, is only a matter of time.
