Bears' Marshall jokingly challenges Lions fan
A Detroit Lions fan has been challenged, if only jokingly, to get into a boxing ring by Chicago Bears receiver Brandon Marshall.
Marshall agreed via Twitter to pay Anthony G. Kalla $25,000 if he loses the fight.
It all goes back to comments made last year by Marshall when he referred to the Lions as "little brother" and told the city of Detroit to "fix your financial problems."
With the Lions now at 7-2 and the Bears reeling at 3-6 this season, Kalla fired back with a shot at Marshall on Instagram, including an apparently inappropriate comment about Marshall's mother.
Marshall's response via Twitter: "I give you 5K to get in a ring with me. ... If I lose I'll give you another 10K. If I win you have to serve 100 hours at an orphanage."
Kalla wanted Marshall to raise the amount and Marshall did.
"25 it is," he tweeted. "Ha! You thought I wouldn't say yes. ... And you have to apologize to my mom."
"@AnthonyGKalla: @BMarshall that's it? Cmon brandy make it 25 and we can do it in Detroit" 25 it is. Ha! You thought i wouldn't say yes.

Later on, after seeing the reaction their exchange had created, Marshall tweeted: "Looks like people took my boxing match for charity too serious. #chill."

The Lions play the Bears in Detroit on Thanksgiving Day and then again in Chicago in the second-to-last game of the season.
