Bearcats will hold canned food drive during tonight's game vs. UMass

The University of Cincinnati men's basketball team will host UMass Lowell at Fifth Third Arena on Tuesday night.

Fans are encouraged to participate in a canned food drive for the Freestore Foodbank during the game on Tuesday. Fans can drop off canned food at collection bins on both concourses of Fifth Third Arena and receive a voucher with the promotion code "FREESTORE." The voucher can be redeemed for $5 off an upper level chairback seat for any December home game.

Cincinnati (4-0) completed a clean sweep of the competition in the four-game Global Sports Shootout last Wednesday, posting an 81-62 win over Campbell at Fifth Third Arena. Sean Kilpatrick led the Bearcats with a season-high 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting with a trio of three-pointers. Justin Jackson registered a career-high 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting to go with nine rebounds and a season-best five blocks. Titus Rubles added 10 points, four assists and three steals.


UMass Lowell (0-5) is in its first season at the Division I level, playing eight of its first 10 games of the season away from home. The River Hawks are coming off a 79-68 loss at Rhode Island on Saturday. Junior guard Chad Holley scored a game-high 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting.

Tuesday's matchup marks the first meeting in series history.

The game tips at 7 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on FOX Sports Ohio.
