Over the course of the last month, Scout.com's basketball recruiting analysts have traveled the country, watching the nation's top basketball prospects in events in everywhere from Sacramento (Calif.) to Orlando (Fla.)
With a team of four scouts, we've gotten a lot done and feel like we have a great feel for the 2015 class from top to bottom.
There's only one problem. We can't make a decision on who is the top prospect in the class and it's a problem that isn't likely to be solved anytime soon. In fact, between the four Scout.com basketball recruiting analysts - Evan Daniels, Josh Gershon, Brian Snow and Rob Harrrington - if we had to choose a new number one today, we all would likely have different answers.
Here are the contenders:
Ivan Rabb: A 6-foot-10 power forward from Oakland (Calif.) Bishop O'Dowd, Rabb is Scout.com's current top pick. His size, length, athleticism, motor, ambidextrious finishing ability and skill set make him a big time prospect.
Diamond Stone: The 6-foot-10 center has improved his conditioning over the last year but has a big frame with soft hands and one of the best skill sets you'll see in a high school post.
Ben Simmons: A native of Australia, the 6-foot-8 Simmons is a hybrid forward that can face up, score off the bounce or get to the basket. He's an early commit to LSU.
Jaylen Brown: The top small forward in the 2015 class, Brown is a 6-foot-6 athelte with a terrific frame with long arms, big time athleticism, can get to the basket or knock down jumpers. His upside may be tops in the class.
Over the next couple of weeks, Scout.com will update 2015 rankings and the top spot will likely go to one of these four prospects. That being said, there is far from a consensus number one in this class and don't expect that to change anytime soon.
