Baker, Armstrong lead Browns cuts
BEREA, Ohio -- The Browns announced their first wave of roster moves on Monday. The biggest names were running back Edwin Baker and wide receiver Anthony Armstrong, who had his contract terminated.
Besides Baker and Armstrong, the Browns also released defensive backs Royce Adams, offensive lineman Randall Harris, defensive back T.J. Heath, defensive lineman Cam Henderson, wide receiver Jonathan Krause, offensive lineman Ryan Lee, linebacker Caleb McSurdy, offensive lineman Keavon Milton, linebacker Keith Pough, wide receiver Tim Smith, offensive lineman Jeremiah Warren and tight end Martell Webb.
In the preseason, Baker had three carries for nine yards, but missed last week with a hamstring injury. Last season, Baker scored two touchdowns and rushed for 171 yards in the final three games. Armstrong had three catches for 17 yards.
