Badgers swept by Ohio State, will face Michigan in quarterfinals

The Wisconsin Badgers will face Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals after falling 4-0 to Ohio State on Saturday night in their regular-season finale.



The Buckeyes scored three times in the second period to complete the sweep. Mason Jobst scored the game-winner at 6:43 of the second, then scored again shorthanded at 11:19 to make it 2-0. Christian Lampasso scored on a breakaway as the penalty expired to make it 3-0 at 12:29.

Lampasso tacked on an empty-net goal at 19:40 of the third period.

Sophomore Jack Berry got the start in goal after backing up senior Kyle Hayton in the series opener, finishing with 27 saves.

The Badgers finished in sixth place in the seven-team Big Ten, and will travel to Yost Ice Arena for a best-of-three quarterfinal series with Michigan.
