The host Wisconsin men's hockey squad outshot Bemidji State, 40-27, but it wasn't quite enough for a victory Friday, as the Badgers settled for a 2-all tie.

No. 19 Wisconsin (11-9-7 overall, 8-6-7 WCHA) owned 1-0 and 2-1 leads, but made just enough mistakes to allow Bemidji State (5-16-6 overall, 4-12-5 WCHA) to walk away with one point on the evening.

Freshman Nic Kerdiles tallied a power-play goal to hand Wisconsin an early 1-0 advantage. Later, junior Sean Little was credited with the Badgers' second goal, handing the hosts a 2-1 lead at 19:01 of the second period. Alas, the Badgers didn't have quite enough firepower to secure a win.

As a result, Wisconsin settled for its seventh WCHA tie of the season, which equals the school record for conference ties originally set in 2003-04.
