Badgers hockey routs Nebraska-Omaha

Wisconsin forward Michael Mersch tallied two goals and added two assists and forward Mark Zengerle added a goal and two assists as the Badgers trounced host Nebraska-Omaha Saturday, 6-2, in WCHA hockey action.

Wisconsin, now 16-11-7 overall, scored four goals in the second period and the rout was on from there. 

Tyler Barnes greatly aided the Badgers' effort, as he ended the night with three points, including a pair of assists. Badgers netminder Joel Rumpel, meanwhile, recorded 27 saves.

Host Nebraska-Omaha fell to 18-14-2 overall with its loss.
