Badgers hockey falls 6-4 to Michigan
The Badgers built up a 3-0 lead in the second period, but it wasn't enough to stop the No. 12-ranked Wolverines, as Michigan stormed back for a 6-4 win over the Wisconsin Badgers men's hockey team.
The preseason favorite to win the Big Ten, Michigan scored four times in the second period, followed by two goals in the second period, to down the Badgers on the road.
Will Johnson finished off a two-on-one at 6:21 of the second period to put the Badgers up 3-0, but Wisconsin's momentum wouldn't last for long.
The Badgers struck again while up 3-2, as Matt Ustaski answered with his first goal of the season in the second period, but the Wolverines roared back, scoring the game's next four goals.
Wisconsin was out-shot just 28-24, while scoring once on the power play and logging just six penality minutes.
