The Wisconsin hockey squad kept its recent run of success rolling Friday night as the Badgers shut out Miami (Ohio) 1-0.
Wisconsin (9-7-5 overall) got the game's only goal thanks to an unassisted tally from Joseph LaBate at the 11:32 mark of the third period.
The Badgers won despite yielding 26 shots on goal, as netminder Joel Rumpel stood on his head throughout the tightly contested nonconference matchup. Rumpel logged 60 full minutes between the pipes Friday.
Miami (12-6-5) got a solid performance from goalie Jay Williams (19 saves) but his fine showing went for naught.
