Here are some notes, tidbits and stats for Saturday's game between the Wisconsin Badgers and Akron Zips at Camp Randall Stadium:

-- This is the 3rd meeting between Wisconsin and Akron. The Badgers lead the series 2-0, winning home openers in 2003 and '08.

-- Wisconsin has won 35 consecutive home games against nonconference opponents. A 36th straight would tie Ohio State (1991-2005) for the sixth-longest such streak in NCAA history. The last loss to a nonconference opponent at Camp Randall Stadium was Sept. 13, 2003 vs. UNLV.

-- The Badgers have won 20 home openers in a row. The last loss came in 1995 to Colorado.

-- Akron has one win vs. a Big Ten team, against Ohio State. John Heisman was the quarterback in that game. It occurred in 1894.

-- Under Paul Chryst, Wisconsin is 8-1 when scoring first (1-0 in 2016), 3-2 when the opponent scores first, 6-1 when leading after the first quarter, 1-2 when trailing after the first quarter, 10-0 when leading at halftime (1-0 in 2016), 1-3 when trailing at halftime, 9-0 when leading after the third quarter and 2-3 when trailing after the third quarter (1-0 in 2016).

-- Wisconsin is 8-0 when Corey Clement rushes for 100+ yards.

-- Wisconsin has had 24 100-yard rushers vs. MAC teams including two vs. Akron (PJ Hill in 2008 & Anthony Davis in 2003).

-- The Badgers have had eight 200-yard passers vs. MAC teams, including Joel Stave last year. Jim Sorgi (2003) only one to do it vs. Akron.

-- Wisconsin has had five 100-yard receivers vs. MAC teams: Jared Abbrederis, UMass, 2013; Isaac Anderson, Northern Illinois, 2009; Travis Beckum, Buffalo, 2006; Lee Evans, Akron, 2003; Lee DeRamus, Eastern Michigan, 1991.

-- Clement needs 177 rushing yards to pass Michael Bennett for 17th place, 189 to pass Marvin Artley for 15th place and 203 to pass Alan Thompson for 14th on UW's all-time list.

-- Clement needs 4 rushing touchdowns to tie Brooks Bollinger and Rufus Ferguson for 10th place on UW's all-time list.

-- Clement needs 17 rushing attempts to qualify for best average per carry in UW history (need 300). As it stands, he would be second, ahead of James White (6.24) and behind Melvin Gordon (7.79).

-- Vince Biegel needs 1 tackles for loss to tie and 1.5 to pass Joe Schobert for 13th place and 2 to tie and 2.5 to pass J.J. Watt for 12th place on UW's all-time list.

-- Biegel needs 2.5 sacks to tie and Don Davey for 7th place on UW's all-time list.

-- Sojourn Shelton needs 2 pass defensed to tie Niles Brinkley for 12th place and 3 to tie Steve Wagner for 11th place on UW's all-time list.

-- Rafael Gaglianone needs one field goal to tie and two to pass Mike Allen for fifth place on UW's all-time list.

-- Gaglianone needs 5 extra points to tie and 6 to pass Vince Lamia for 3rd place on UW's all-time list.

-- Gaglianone needs 1 extra-point attempt to tie and 2 to pass Mike Allen for 5th place and 3 to tie and 4 to pass John Hall for 4th place on UW's all-time list.

-- Gaglianone needs one 50+-yard field goal to join Taylor Mehlhaff and Philip Welch as the only to have three FGs from 50+ in Wisconsin history (Mehlhaff 52, 51, 51; Welch 57, 52, 50; Gaglianone 51, 50).

-- Natrell Jamerson needs 1 kick return for a touchdown to tie Ira Matthews and Nick Davis for the most in UW history (2).
