COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) Opener Shaun Marsh and captain Steve Smith scored centuries as Australia dominated the third morning of the third test against Sri Lanka, reaching 235-1 at lunch on Monday.
The pair shared an unbroken 214 runs for the second wicket, including 94 in the session as Australia made rapid progress toward matching Sri Lanka's first innings score of 355.
At the interval, Marsh was 110 off 246 deliveries with 16 boundaries while Smith had reached 104, with a six and nine fours.

Sri Lanka's bowlers had been effective in ending budding partnerships during the first two tests as the home side took an unbeatable 2-0 series lead, but toiled fruitlessly against the Australian pair.
