Australia 16 runs from victory in 2nd test at lunch, day 5

CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand (AP) Australia was only 16 runs from a match and series victory which will re-establish it as the world's top-ranked test nation when lunch was taken Wednesday on the last day of the second cricket test against New Zealand.
Chasing 201 to win, Australia went to lunch at 185-3 with Steve Smith 47 not out and Adam Voges yet to score.
Joe Burns anchored the innings and was out for 65 just beore lunch as Australia claimed an extra 15 minutes in the first session in an effort to end the match quickly.

After batting soberly for more than three hours, Burns was forced to go on the offensive and hit two consecutive fours before he was bowled by Trent Boult.
